Pets Plus Us Celebrates 10 Years of Helping Pets and Pet Parents

The Canadian Pet Insurance Company Marks the Occasion With More Than $50,000 in Donations and Giveaways

April 19, 2023 (OAKVILLE, Ontario) –Canada’s third largest pet insurance company, Pets Plus Us, is honoured to celebrate 10 years since it issued its first policy. Since its founding, Pets Plus Us has been committed to helping pet parents throughout their pets’ lives and has helped 100,000 furry family members get access to the care they need. The company has also donated over $250,000 to animal welfare organizations and provided pet parents peace of mind by reimbursing over $21 million in claims.

“The Pets Plus Us team is thrilled to celebrate 10 years of building a community that helps our members navigate the joys and challenges of being a pet parent,” said Eric Coulson, Pets Plus Us Vice President of Business Development. “At our core, Pets Plus Us is more than an insurance company. We are pet people who are committed to helping pets live happy lives. It’s been our privilege to serve the community and we look forward to continuing to support our members, their pets and animal welfare organizations.”

To celebrate, Pets Plus Us is giving back to the community, donating $10,000 to five veterinary schools across Canada to further programs that train students for the veterinarian industry and support the health and wellbeing of companion animals. The recipients include Atlantic Veterinary College, Faculté de médecine vétérinaire at the University of Montreal, Ontario Veterinary College, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Calgary, and Western College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan. Select veterinary students will also be chosen as Pets Plus Us brand ambassadors to host educational events throughout the year and will receive $2,500 to go toward their studies.

In addition, Pets Plus Us is planning several celebrations throughout 2023 that include highlighting some of the longest-tenured policyholders, vet partners and celebrating members and their pets.
