From hiking to swimming, BC offers activities that will satisfy the daredevil in every dog.

Yukon Territory

Headed to Whitehorse? Make a stop at Hidden Valley Bed & Breakfast. The pet-friendly accommodations mean that both you and your pup can enjoy some R&R while receiving superior service from the home’s resident dog lovers. Its close proximity to downtown means that there’s always something to do.

Ontario

Festival season is upon us! Held in Amherstburg, Woofa~Roo is a family festival for “Pets and Their People.” Your dog can watch or even compete in a number of athletic events including dock diving, flyball, and agility (just to name a few). There’s even an award called the “Sterling Canine Citizen Award” given to the politest of pups. At the Pet-Ucation Centre, experts will be onsite to answer your most pressing pet questions.

Ontario is also host to Bark in the Park (Clarington), Pawz in the Park (St. Catharines), and a number of other pet-themed festivals. With so many options, your pooch’s social calendar will fill up in no time!

Alberta

Want to practice your short game with your pup? Woodside Golf Course in Airdrie, Alberta is the province’s only dog-friendly golf course. Why leave Fido at home the next time you want to hit the links when you can have him tag along and be your new caddy? Your dog can even join you for a post-round drink on the clubhouse patio.

If golf isn’t your thing, the town of Canmore has plenty of hiking trails and off-leash dog parks to delight four-legged explorers.

Manitoba

Home to 92 provincial parks, Manitoba is a great destination for travelers and their furry companions. Winnipeg has many off-leash options, so your pet can roam to their heart’s content. Kil-Cona, King’s, Woodsworth – you never know which park could become a new favourite!

Quebec

Give your pup a taste of the good life at one of Montreal’s many classy and elegant hotels. Step back in time and soak up the rich history of Quebec City as your pet’s paws pitter-patter on cobblestoned streets. As far as sightseeing goes, Château Frontenac is a must see!
